Meet Lee-Ann Derrick
Owner Manager & Strength and Powerlifting Coach
Before becoming a powerlifter, Lee-Ann competed in swimming, triathlons, and archery. She began weight training in 2017, initially aiming to lose weight, but quickly discovered the satisfaction of increasing the weight on the bar.
She is a National and International level powerlifter, recently crowned the 2025 U69kg Oceania Powerlifting Champion, and has podiumed at every National Championship she has entered.
Lee-Ann’s true passion is helping others discover the power of strength training. She specialises in coaching members from their first barbell experience to developing confidence, technique, and consistency.
Her background as a VIT-registered teacher, Assistant Principal, Learning Specialist, and Education Consultant for organisations such as Lexis Education, the Department of Education, NGV, and VicTESOL informs her coaching philosophy: it’s all about teaching, building confidence, and celebrating success.
